I’m building a desktop and this is an optional choice.

I’m no where near getting an Ethernet cable to where my desktop is gonna be.

So I can use this to connect to my internet (xfinity) wireless right?

Does anyone know a good wireless router with an NAT type 2 connection? I currently have a Linksys WRT54GS, my connection is NAT type 3, and often when I’m playing online on my ps3 i get disconnected because my NAT is too strict.I’ve tried many times to find a way to change it to NAT type 2 but no luck. I have heard of gaming routers. Is there a specific one that works really well? and is it affordable? I can only afford a router less than $70 dollars right now.

Im trying to connect to Xbox Live with my new wireless router, and im wondering if I buy an adapter, will it work? Im wondering, because I have looked at some videos of using a laptop and ethernet cable to connect to the wireless network, but my network and sharing center doesnt have the wireless network thing available. I know it sounds confusing, the wireless network is set up, but it says in the network connections section (where all the videos showed to go) all i have is local area connection and then it says wireless. In the videos, they have a local and a wireless one.

I have tried hard resets, uninstalling and re-installing the software. THe connection seems slow for all my devices, being my desktop, second desktop, smart phone, and iPod. Any suggestions?
From the test run on Speedtest.net, with only 1 device connected to the network, download speed maxxed out at 1.06 mbps, upload at 5.6mbps. From the desktop with a wired connection using the same website, 26.59 mbps and upload at 5.59. 25mbps seems to be a significant difference, and thus makes my suspect to be the router, as the network card I use for my desktop allowed for much quicker speeds with the old router.
